The problem we're solving for our users is the long search for clothes that fit their style – sometimes months!
KIYO solves this problem by deeply understanding a user's style preferences, writing up a style report to ensure everyone is on the same page, and scouring the entire web to find the items users really want.
We believe LLMs will be as disruptive to online shopping as online shopping was to brick-and-mortar retail. We're excited to accelerate this shift.

We are a technical team with deep domain expertise looking to rapidly scale up our engineering efforts.
We have meaningful traction with beta users. They have been (almost universally) blown away by our demos.
About You
As one of Kiyo’s founding engineers, you will focus on imagining and building the products that Kiyo brings to users in partnership with our founders. This will require curiosity about the ecosystem Kiyo operates in, a keen sense for users' needs and Kiyo's business goals, an appetite for rapid iteration (we're talking lightning speed here), the ability to make tough technical trade-offs, and ultimately, the desire to be accountable for Kiyo’s performance.
Responsibilities:
Build software that elegantly solves users’ problems.
Scope and lead technical projects to completion.
Talk directly to users and contribute to the product roadmap.
Write technical documentation.
Set the technical vision for the team.
Requirements:
Deep experience in full-stack software engineering with demonstrated results.
Familiarity with general SWE best practices such as end-to-end testing, design documents, CI/CD, A/B Testing, code reviews, and documentation.
Empathy for users and their problems.
A genuine interest in AI and LLMs.
Robust collaboration skills including written and verbal communication in English.
A preference for things that work over things that are perfect.
Evidence of a “do-what-it-takes”, impact-oriented attitude.
A data-driven, low-ego mindset when it comes to decision-making.
Strong opinions (without being argumentative)
Passion for AI, fashion, e-commerce, and applying innovative technology to transform industries.
Nice to Have:
Experience developing user-facing iOS applications.
Prior experience working with large language models, natural language processing, prompt engineering, and recommender systems.
Prior experience working in e-commerce or a particular interest in fashion.
Experience working directly with designers and product managers.
Experience designing and building products at a massive scale.
